The Golden Boaijum
Waterpark Heeg and our group accommodation are situated on the Gouden Boaijum. This recreational part of Heeg is named after the nature reserve of the same name; an island between Woudsend and Heeg. Surrounded by lakes, canals and pools with illustrious names such as Wâldseinster Rakken, Noarder Ie, Nauwe Wimerts and the Jeltesleat. The island of the Golden Boaijum consists of a nature reserve of over 175 hectares with grassland, puddle & wetland and marshland. It is a unique meadow bird area with special flora and fauna.
